Meet The 2025 Jury

Paul Kaye

Paul Kaye has spent over two and a half decades working across audio, entertainment, and music in Canada, the UK and America. His career began in the UK, leading radio brands like the legendary BRMB in Birmingham and Red Dragon in Wales, and serving as Group Network PD for Orion Media (now Bauer) leading their FM stations.

In 2012, Paul relocated to Canada to join Newcap Radio (now Stingray), leading content and operations teams across major markets in Western Canada and leading talent coaching nationwide as the company’s first National Talent Development Director. He joined Rogers Sports & Media in 2016, where he was most recently Vice President & Head of Audio Business, overseeing radio, podcasting, digital, and branded content.

Paul has served on industry boards including Radioplayer Canada, Canadian Broadcast Sales and the steering committee for Radiodays North America. He’s a director at the Coalition for Music Education in Canada and serves as a mentor for Futurprenuer.

Dayna Brez

Dayna Brez graduated from the Algonquin College Radio program in 2012, and shortly after graduating, landed her first part-time swing job in her hometown of Ottawa at JUMP! 106.9, eventually moving to host middays, and then co-hosting afternoons with fellow Algonquin alumni Tony Stark until mid-2025. When she’s not taking you on a nostalgic trip on TikTok or Instagram (@daynabreezy), you’ll find her hanging out with her cats Willow & Ozzy.

Lisa Grossi

Lisa Grossi spent nearly two decades in radio before joining Warner Music Canada as Director, National Radio Promotion & Media Relations, becoming the first woman to lead Warner Music Canada’s promotions department. Prior to joining Warner, she served as the National Music Director for Virgin Radio and MOVE Radio, as well as Music Director & Assistant Program Director for CHUM 104.5 Toronto.

Rick Zamperin

From an early age, Rick Zamperin knew that he wanted to be a radio and TV broadcaster. His love of sports and telling compelling stories propelled him to Fanshawe College’s vaunted broadcast journalism program. He launched his radio career in Chatham, ON., and proceeded to work at stations in Fort McMurray, AB., as well as Welland and Brantford, ON. But it was at CHML radio in Hamilton where he really made his mark. Over the next 24 years, Rick did everything from hosting the morning show and anchoring newscasts to producing, reporting, programming and play-by-play announcing for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Rick is now the co-anchor of Morning Live on CHCH TV in Hamilton.

Jay Brody

Jay Brody brings over 11 years of broadcasting, hosting, and producing experience to the judging panel. He is currently a contracted writer and performer, creating parody songs and sketches for The Howard Stern Show on SiriusXM.  Jay made a significant impact as the Morning Host of “The B-Team” on CFNY 102.1 The Edge Toronto. Most recently, he hosted Afternoon Drive show “Carly and Jay” in Vancouver, which was a runner-up for Best On-Air Team (Music, Major Market) at the Canadian Radio Awards in both 2022 and 2023. His video content has garnered millions of views and been featured in outlets like the New York Post and USA Today.

Anita Bathe

Anita Bathe is the Senior Manager of Media Relations and Issues Management at TransLink. Before joining TransLink, Anita built an award-winning journalism career, working as an anchor and reporter for CBC local and national, as well as other outlets. Her work earned her two Canadian Screen Awards for Best Local News Anchor.

Anita’s passion for storytelling was first ignited in radio, where she thrived under quick deadlines and discovered the power of “theatre of the mind.” She spent years on-air at CFAX 1070, News 1130, and later CBC Radio, and won several awards for her radio coverage of breaking news. Today, she brings that same storytelling lens to public transportation, helping bridge the gap between complex infrastructure projects and the people they serve. She is passionate about navigating a changing communications environment shaped by new technologies and rising public expectations.

Kim Sullivan

Kim Sullivan began her career as a teacher for the deaf, but soon found her passion in broadcasting. She started behind-the-scenes at Mix96, CHOM, and CJAD in Montreal before quickly moving on-air as a traffic reporter and co-host of The Irish Show on CJAD, then hosting overnights on Virgin Radio. Her journey took her to Winnipeg for middays on Curve 94.3, then Ottawa and evenings on boom 99.7, before returning to Montreal to wrap up her 12-year radio career as a drive host on The Beat 92.5. Along the way, Kim also hosted community TV and spent eight years with Global News Montreal as a weather specialist and community reporter. Today, she proudly reconnects with her Indigenous roots as the producer and host of APTN’s French-language broadcast.
